Translation and Tape Transcription
What is the difference between translation and interpretation? Translation is the transfer of a text message from one language to another in written form, while interpretation is the transfer of a spoken message using speech.
Therefore, if you need your employee manual rendered in another language, you need a translator; and if you need to communicate orally in another language, you need an interpreter.
Translators refer to the language of the original document as source language and that of the translated version as the target language.
We typically work in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. We prefer to work from your original electronic file to simplify and maintain the same formatting, as well as to speed delivery. You can send the file via e-mail to Bilingual@Bicomms.com
We have translated documents in the following fields:
- Health Care Industry - Hospital forms, advertising materials, booklets, brochures, clinical studies, and scripts
- Government - The NC DMV Driver’s License Manual, and public announcements for the City of Raleigh and Wake County Human Services and the NC Department of Public Instruction.
- Service Industries - For restaurants, hotels, landscaping companies, construction and insurance companies: employee manuals, newsletters, company policies, OSHA, MSDS, and FDA regulations, etc.
- Technical - Brochures, advertising material, and product descriptions for IBM, Monitech, and others.
